S&S Environmental Consultants, LLC is pleased to announce the public opening of the 68.96-acre Harthill Tract (Tier 1) long-term protected Gopher Tortoise (GT) recipient site (Permit Number GTLR-23-00005: T1N, R9W, S30; T1N, R9W, S31: Latitude 30° 26′ 44.9″ N Longitude 85° 10′ 18.2″ W) in Calhoun County, Florida. The Harthill Tract is permitted for capacity of up to 191 gopher tortoises and may receive tortoises from the northern state line to as far south as Dunnellon, Belleview, Deland, and New Smyrna Beach.
